The Tennessee Valley SCI Chapter would like to thank Education-Sables for the grant that has enabled it to assist along with the local NRA Chapter to sponsor the Signal Mountain Top Guns in the Tennessee Scholastic Clays League. Were it not for the grant, which is paying for the shooting fees, uniforms, hearing and eye protection, ammunition and other items, the Chapter would not have been able to assist to the extent that is now possible with the added funds.
Each of the team members must shoot at least 36 rounds of skeet in competition in order to go to the Tennessee State competition. There are now three teams in the immediate area, and plans are to encourage other schools to adopt the program.
Tennessee Valley SCI helped a couple of area High School Skeet Shooting teams in Hamilton County with their fundraiser shoot in July. Some of our SCI members shot in the Open Class, and all had a great time.
