Still Time to Enter ID Super Hunt Drawing

Hunt-Now-Easy-Elk-bull-looking-over-shoulderThe deadline to enter the first Idaho Super Hunt drawing is Tuesday, May 31.

The Super Hunt is a fund-raising drawing for 34 big game tags handed out in two drawings. Entries are drawn for elk, deer, pronghorn, and moose tags. Winners can participate in any open hunt in Idaho including general hunts and controlled hunts.
The first drawing will be for eight elk, eight deer, and eight pronghorn, and one moose hunt. One Super Hunt Combo entry also will be drawn that will entitle the winner to hunt for all four species – elk, deer, pronghorn and moose. Winners will be notified by June 10. Idaho’s 2015 Whitetail Harvest Sets All-time Record

Fish and Game predicted a banner hunting season for 2015, and hunters delivered with the highest all-time whitetail harvest and increased deer and elk harvests over 2014.

whitetail-deer-091212Hunters took an estimated 30,568 whitetails in 2015, topping the 1996 record of 29,800. The combined estimated mule deer and whitetail harvest was 68,764, which exceeded the 2014 harvest of 61,200, and it was the highest deer harvest since 1991.
