As many members and chapters know, deer numbers in the southeast and Midwest can skyrocket if unchecked by hunting. The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA) contacted the local Music City Chapter to assist them in a special management of deer in the Fall Creek area near Spencer, Tennessee where deer numbers were negatively impacting the area. The Iowa Chapter’s fundraiser this past March was a huge success raising the most money in 26 years and enjoying record attendance. For the tenth straight year, The Texas Hill Country Chapter presented a $5,000 check to the Schreiner University Shooting Sports Program. In 2009, the Schreiner Shooting Sports Program partnered with the Texas Hill Country Chapter to provide manpower at their annual banquet. It was the beginning of a phenomenal relationship that is a win-win for both groups.
