Hartland Michigan NASP World Champions

SCI SE Michigan Bowhunters Chapter funds helped bring home two world championships in the National Archery in the Schools Program (NASP).

Our middle school team is the 2017 World Champions in 3D IBO (International Bowhunting Organization) and the high school team is the 2017 World Champions in the Bullseye event!

Both teams shot new world record high scores.  The middle school shot 1700 out of 1800 in 3D while the high school shot a 3482 out of 3600.  This is a 290 average out of 300 for all 12 kids used for the team score.

Thank you, SCI SE Michigan Bowhunters Chapter for your continued support.  We know you have many organizations you could support and hope you feel your dollars were used wisely to help get kids involved (and succeed) in the sport of archery (and hopefully future hunters).–Coach Rob Jellison

International Wildlife Museum Holds Archery Days

On October 3rd, the International Wildlife Museum held the first of their Archery Days events. Novice archers and parents arrived for the event, eager to learn basic archery skills, taught by NASP Certified instructors. Emphasizing fun and safety, attendees tried their hand at a number of different targets as they improved their archery skills. For more information on events at the IWM take a look at their website.
