Kim Rhode, Olympian And SCI Life Member Is Golden Again

Six-time Olympic medalist Kim Rhode won her second World Cup gold medal in a row this year with her win in Women’s Skeet on the penultimate day of the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) World Cup in Changwon, South Korea.

Rhode bested her own world record in the Final by two targets — 58/60 targets from the 56 that she set en route to her win at the World Cup in Guadalajara, Mexico in March. This win marks her fifth medal in a row on the World Cup circuit as she also medaled in every World Cup in 2017, as well as winning the World Cup Final.

“I am amazed it just keeps going and I am trying to ride that wave, one World Cup after another,” Rhode told the ISSF. “I couldn’t be more thrilled, it has been an amazing competition at a beautiful range, here in South Korea.”

The Changwon International Shooting Range where this World Cup is took place will also be the host range for the ISSF World Championship August 31 – September 15 where all of the U.S. Women’s Skeet athletes in this match will once again compete.
