Wyoming Game and Fish Department will be holding a workshop on the Wyoming Hunt Planner, discovering hunting access, and the online application system on Wednesday, May 18, 2016. The workshop will be hosted at the Cheyenne Headquarters, 5400 Bishop Blvd., beginning at 5:30 p.m. and also broadcast live for distance viewers.
“Learning about access and how to use the Game and Fish digital tools will help planning a Wyoming hunt easier. Even hunters who have used the hunt planner may not know about features like interactive land status maps, GEO PDFs, and KML files,” said Tristanna Bickford, hunter education coordinator. “This workshop will also help those who haven’t completed their hunting license applications yet.”
And that deadline is soon. May 31 is the last day for residents to submit applications for all full- and reduced price licenses for elk, deer, and antelope. This is also the deadline for all non-resident applications for deer and antelope licenses.
The workshop is open to the public and anyone who wants more information about how to apply, especially new hunters. Attendees are encouraged to bring their laptops to follow along with the presentations and to apply for licenses. Game and Fish computers will be available to help with applications as well.
