Open to all ladies, the Nebraska Outdoor Education Center in Lincoln will host monthly Beyond BOW classes on shooting, hunting, fishing, cooking and other outdoor skills through Dec. 2016. Seating is limited and reservations are required at Outdoornebraska.gov/outdooredcenter.
May 26 – Tackle Box: $10/person, 6-8 p.m.
Confused by all the equipment, baits, lures, knots, fish, waters, etc.? This course will teach beginners logical approaches to fishing any species found in any water in Nebraska.
June TBD – Campfire Chef: $15/person, 6-8 p.m.
Learn new outdoor cooking techniques the entire family will enjoy. Participants will cook outdoor treats over the fire pit and finish the workshop dining on their creations.

Sept. 10 – Women’s Safe Hunter Workshop: $20/person, 9 a.m.- 4 p.m.
Are you a novice hunter looking to hone your skills? Or maybe you’ve never hunted before. This “ladies only” workshop will cover many of the hunter education and safety concepts taught in traditional hunter education classes, but in a casual and welcoming atmosphere. This is a great “mother-daughter” opportunity, open to ladies age 11 and older. Participants under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Lunch will be provided.
Oct. 6, 13 & 20 – Rifle Shooting Series: 6-8 p.m.
Oct. 27 – Dutch Oven Cooking: $15/person, 6-8 p.m.
Learn how to cook using Dutch ovens and other campfire methods. Instructors will share how to season, clean and store Dutch ovens, as well as demonstrate how to maintain cooking temperature and use basic tools. Prepare an amazing meal and learn a new skill to use on your next outdoor adventure.
Nov. 3, 10 & 17 – Muzzleloader Series: 6-8 p.m.
