Safari Club International CEO Phil DeLone and Michael Roqueni Director of Record Book traveled to Namibia to attend the Namibia Professional Hunters Association (NAPHA) annual meeting. The official opening address was given by the Honourable Uahedua Herunga, Namibian Minister of Environment and Tourism, who restated the Namibian government’s dedication to remaining a hunter friendly nation. He also touched on the mutually beneficial relationship between the hunting community and the continuation of conservation and anti-poaching measures, hunting helps fund. NAPHA President Kai-Uwe Denker spoke about the organization’s commitment to sustainable wildlife and conservation of all of prized species like the greater kudu. He also addressed the ongoing challenges of fighting poachers within Namibia.
