Gaston J. Glock Style is unveiling 3 new knives at the annual Blade Show & International Cutlery Fair this weekend in Atlanta. These exciting new folders feature Damascus steel blades and two of the new knives are based on designs uncovered at a 175 year old cutlery factory in Solingen, Germany, requiring the reproduction of special tools and the expertise of working blacksmiths to create these unique blades.
The Meteorite Damascus Pocket Knife features a blade of 320-layer meteorite Damascus steel from German blacksmith Markus Balbach. The Gaston Glock exclusive, features brass liners, nickel silver pins and the scales are made of stabilized buckeye burl.
The Eurofighter is hand-made of 320-layer Damascus steel, salvaged from the cannon of a German combat Eurofighter jet. This steel is combined with tool steel in the forging process to provide durability and phenomenal edge retention. The handle scales are Mammoth bone, and careful attention is paid to fit and finish.
The Liner Lock Pocket Knife features a 320-layer Damascus blade similar to the Eurofighter but in a more modern tactical configuration. The liners are blue anodized grade 5-titanium and the handle scales are crafted of stabilized carbon fiber. The included sheath is hand crafted from vegetable tanned leather.
