Tennessee Valley chapter of Safari Club International held its annual Hunting Gala March 8 which was headlined by Eva Shockey, daughter of Jim Shockey. SCIF Pathfinder winners Eric Jones and Brodey Pemberton were also at the event. The gala enjoyed not only a record-breaking crowd, but the Chapter also broke its own record in funds raised.
More than 30 kids in attendance, were treated to an airsoft shooting match with the winner receiving a AR15 platform Mossberg .22 rifle and each one received a free knife,. Other activities included Bingo, Popcorn box game, and a 52 playing card game along with the raffle and silent auction.
According to Chapter President, Keith Watson, “the A List Raffle girls from Utah more than doubled the dollar amount of raffle tickets sold when compared to previous events. And, we expect a bigger and better event March 14, 2015 next year”.
