Safari Club International Oklahoma Station chapter will hold its 29th annual Convention Banquet and Fundraiser on Saturday March 1, 2014. The event will include an auction featuring over $500,000 worth of items including hunting and fishing trips, incredible guns and outdoor equipment, jewelry, art and more, according to chapter president Hugh Bereman. Proceeds from the banquet and auction will help the Oklahoma Station chapter fund their ongoing conservation and education programs. The chapter is an important supporter of the Scholastic Shooting Sports Program, that introduces safe firearms handling and shooting skills to youth through school curriculum, as well as the Hunters Against Hunger program that distributes venison to needy families. The chapter has also been a staunch supporter of the Oklahoma Wildlife Department’s Oklahoma Wildlife Expo, which educates thousands on the value of the outdoors and wildlife to the quality of life in Oklahoma.
The banquet will be held at The National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma City.
