Safari Club International members and life long hunters Bill and Roseann Patterson have been honored for their work with Associates for Breast and Prostate Cancer Studies. Hollywood icons Ann-Margaret and Robert Wagner joined Bill and Roseann Patterson as honorees at ABCs 24th Annual Talk Of The Town gala at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Southern California.
The gala raised funds for breast and prostate cancer research at John Wayne Cancer Institute (JWCI) at Saint John’s Health Center. Actress Ann-Margret received the Spirit of Entertainment Award, actor Robert Wagner was honored with the Spirit of Hollywood Award and business leaders and community advocates Bill and Roseann Patterson were recipients of the Spirit of Hope Award.
“Each of our honorees has been affected by cancer and are extraordinary role models and dedicated supporters of cancer research,” said Gloria Gebbia, President of the Associates for Breast and Prostate Cancer Studies. “We are committed to raising awareness and support for our mission to achieve a cure for breast and prostate cancer through the innovative research being conducted at the John Wayne Cancer Institute.”
Bill and Roseann Patterson were presented the Spirit of Hope Award by last year’s 2012 Spirit of Hope Award honorees, Donald and Shelly Sterling. In 1967, Bill founded Patterson Life Insurance Brokerage firm in Los Angeles and is a life and qualifying member the Top of the Table of the Million Dollar Round Table, an exclusive forum for the world’s most successful life insurance and financial services professionals. He is also a member of the National Association of Financial and Insurance Advisors and is president of the Los Angeles chapter.
For over 20 years, chiropractor and nutritionist Dr. Roseann Dembeck Patterson has specialized in personalized lifestyle medicine at her practice in Santa Monica. She is a recipient of the California Chiropractic Association’s 24th Doctor of the Year Award, served as Chairman of the Key Doctor Program for the California Chiropractic Association and was instrumental in the passage of the Scoliosis Screening Bill in California. Roseann hosted her own television
show and has been featured on radio and television as an expert nutritionist on achieving optimum health. She is a long-time member of the ABCs.
The Pattersons are members of Safari Club International and the Wine & Food Trails Travel Club. They reside in Marina del Rey and enjoy traveling and spending time with their son David (23) and Bill’s five daughters.
