New Model 1873 Lever Guns

Winchester Repeating Arms recently announced the return of “The Gun that Won the West”–the Model 1873 lever-action rifle.

Consumers can now own a genuine Winchester Repeating Arms Model ’73 with an oil-finished walnut stock, classic blued steel crescent buttplate and 20-inch round barrel–just like the original.

Other features include a full-length magazine tube, semi-buckhorn rear sight with Marble Arms gold bead front sight. There is a steel loading gate and receiver rear tang that is drilled and tapped for a tang-mounted rear sight.  The Model 1873 is offered in .357/38 Special chambering. Suggested retail price is $1,300.

  1. I appreciate your reintroduction of the famous 1873 & I understand the reasoning behind the 357/38 Special chambering. However don’t overlook the hunters & those that want share the past in the respective calibers of the date. Myself personally I would like to purchase this model with a 24″ barrel in the calibers of 40-65 & 45-70. Also in the 24″ barrel I would prefer a 44-40. I also would provide the rear mounted tang sight at an additional price but leave the semi-buckhorn rear sight and the full- length magazine tube. Please notify me if you decide to make these available. If only through the custom shop I’m still interested. Thank you,
